In this module we will consider the influence of American "hard boiled" writers on film noir and consider a prime example directed by Billy Wilder, Double Indemnity (1944).

2)Identify and assess noir elements of lighting, characterization, theme, mood
   and tone 
3)Assess Double Indemnity (1944) as a film noir adaptation from literature
